Talk of More Interest Rate Cuts For Early 2015 Ramps Up
Most banks are now indicating that they feel the Reserve Bank will cut the cash rate in 2015.
Those that are forecasting a rate cut next year are:
- Stephen Koukoulas from Market Economics
- Shane Oliver from AMP Capital
- Noel Whittaker from QUT Business School
- Bill Evans Chief Economist at Westpac
Bill Evans is going one step further by tipping that there will be two rate cuts early in 2015, taking the cash rate down to just 2 per cent.
Shane Oliver also feels that there could be a second cut to interest rates around April, May or June
As I have mentioned previously during 2014, home owners and property investors should not be hasty in racing out to sign up to Fixed Rate Loans as I have predicted that rates still have a way to go in the downwards direction.
