A clearance rate of 78 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 75 per cent last weekend and 77 per cent this weekend last year. There were 1050 auctions reported to the REIV, with 819 selling and 231 being passed in, 111 of those on a vendor bid. This week marks the highest point in auction activity since mid-December 2015. The top auction suburbs in the year to date are Craigieburn (31 auctions), Mooroolbark (28 auctions), Richmond (27 auctions) and Bentleigh East (26 auctions).
