Melbourne Property Sales Results

A clearance rate of 66 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 70 per cent last weekend and 63 per cent this weekend last year.
There were 944 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 624 selling and 320 being passed in, 179 of those on a vendor bid.
This week’s results confirms that the residential property market is still in recovery mode and the strength of this recovery depends on broader economic indicators such as the employment rate and consumer confidence.
Next weekend the REIV expects around 1580 auctions.
