for Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July 2014

A clearance rate of 73 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 69 per cent last weekend and 68 per cent this weekend last year.

There were 487 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 356 selling and 131 being passed in, 66 of those on a vendor bid.

Some of the top price growth suburbs over the latest June quarter also experienced improvements in their auction sales. Suburbs such as Sunshine, Langwarrin, Mitcham, Malvern East, and Prahran recorded strong price growth as well as above-average clearance rates.
