Melbourne Property Sales Results
for Saturday 15th June 2014
A clearance rate of 71 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 61 per cent last weekend and 70 per cent this weekend last year.It should be noted that there was a relatively low number of auctions - and lower clearance rate - last weekend due to the Queen's Birthday public holiday.
There were 785 auctions reported to the REIV today, with 559 selling and 226 being passed in, 122 of those on a vendor bid.
June is set to be another record-breaking month in terms of the number of auctions. The REIV is expecting about 4,000 auctions for the month of June which, if they proceed as scheduled, will comfortably pass the record of 3,329 auctions held in June 2010.
