Melbourne Property Sales Results

for Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2014

A clearance rate of 75 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 76 per cent last weekend and 74 per cent this weekend last year.

There were 818 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 617 properties selling and 201 being passed in, 91 of those on a vendor bid.

Forward estimates indicate that there will close to 3,000 auctions for the month of September, which would surpass last year’s 2,463 auctions. So far this year, the eastern suburbs have achieved the highest clearance rates, particularly in suburbs such as Bayswater (93%), Wantirna (92%), and Croydon South (90%).
