A clearance rate of 67 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 75 per cent last weekend and 79 per cent this weekend last year. There were 237 auctions reported to the REIV, with 159 selling and 78 being passed in, 33 of those on a vendor bid. The top clearance rate suburbs in May were Yarraville, Caulfield South and Pascoe Vale. More than nine in 10 homes sold at auction last month in these suburbs.
