for Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September 2014

A clearance rate of 77 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 73 per cent last weekend and 73 per cent this weekend last year.

There were 683 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 524 properties selling and 159 being passed in, 74 of those on a vendor bid.

The REIV expects more than 2,100 auctions in the next two weekends before the AFL Grand Final. This will surpass last year’s 1,800 auctions over the same weekends as vendors continue to favour auctions this year.
