Melbourne Property Sales Results

for Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August 2014

A clearance rate of 74 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 70 per cent last weekend and 72 per cent this weekend last year.

There were 456 auctions reported to the REIV this week, with 336 selling and 120 being passed in, 59 of those on a vendor bid.

Forward estimates suggest that there will be about 2,600 auctions held in August. This is about 14 per cent higher than the 10-year average of 2,275 auctions for this month. Last month, there were more than 2,200 auctions held, an increase of about 17 per cent on the 10-year average.
