New Home Sales Up

New home sales continue to increase and in so doing are supporting Australia's economic growth.

The Housing Industry Association (HIA) released figures for April recently showing new home sales were up by 2.9 per cent in April

Multi unit sales were up by over 9 per cent whilst detached house sales increased by 1.8 per cent.

These increases will certainly help reduce the impact of the mining and engineering construction slow down.

We may well see continued new home sales over the coming months.
