A clearance rate of 78 per cent was recorded this week compared to 77 per cent last week and 73 per cent this week last year. There were 862 auctions reported to the REIV, with 674 selling and 188 being passed in, 77 of those on a vendor bid. Mentone, Ringwood East and Wantirna South were the city’s top performing auction suburbs in May, with 100 per cent clearance rates.
