Interest Rates Stability: RBA unlikely to move anytime soon

Reserve Bank Interest Rates To Remain Low

Reserve Bank Interest Rates To Remain Low

The latest Consumer Price Index figures indicate the RBA have no reason to be increasing interest rates for a considerable time into the future. In seasonally adjusted terms, the CPI only rose by 0.1 per cent.

Many parts of the world economy show some concern with sluggish growth and dropping oil prices, whilst inflation in Australia is as good as it gets, that is, it is not too high, not too low, but just right.

With the domestic economy not being threatened by inflation it gives the Reserve Bank the chance to leave interest rates at low levels for some time into the future, i.e. the medium term.

So there you have it, you can put aside the media noise around interest rates are going to rise and get back to whatever plans you had in mind.
