Melbourne Property Sales Results
for January 2016
A clearance rate of 74 per cent was recorded between 21 December 2015 and 31 January 2016. There were 210 auctions reported to the REIV, with 156 selling and 54 being passed in, 21 of those on a vendor bid.
Due to this being our first week of publication for 2016, this week’s results include sales from 21 December 2015 through to today.
The demand for affordable housing drove strong growth in Melbourne’s outer suburbs in the December 2015 Quarter, with median prices up more than 10 per cent in Greenvale, Frankston South, Parkdale, Warrandyte and Werribee.
