A clearance rate of 77 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 74 per cent last weekend and 70 per cent this weekend last year.

There were 614 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 472 selling and 142 being passed in, 65 of those on a vendor bid.

The median house price for auctions in Melbourne grew by 3.1 per cent in the June 2015 quarter to $888,000 from $861,500 in the March quarter. This is up 8.3 per cent from the same period last year, given higher clearance rates.
