Melbourne Property Sales Results
for Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May 2014
A clearance rate of 73 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 70 per cent last weekend and 69 per cent this weekend last year.
There were 1017 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 746 selling and 271 being passed in, 149 of those on a vendor bid.
Auctions continue to be popular with about 23 per cent of all homes sold by auction so far this year. This compares to just 18 per cent this time last year. More than 1,000 auctions are expected to be held next weekend, reflecting ongoing vendor confidence in the market.
