A clearance rate of 77 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 79 per cent last weekend and 67 per cent this weekend last year. There were 1028 auctions reported to the REIV, with 788 selling and 240 being passed in, 89 of those on a vendor bid. The final month of the year has been significant: with one more week to go, the December record for auction sales –set nine years ago with 2,537 sales – looks set to be broken this month.
