Melbourne Property Sales Results
for Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August 2014
A clearance rate of 75 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 72 per cent last weekend and 74 per cent this weekend last year.
There were 601 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 448 selling and 153 being passed in, 68 of those on a vendor bid.
So far this year there have been 47 suburbs in Melbourne with a clearance rate of more than 90%. Suburbs that reported the largest improvement in the clearance rate this year include Croydon (83% compared to 57% last year), Watsonia (88% compared to 67% last year), and Aspendale (87% compared to 66% last year).
