A clearance rate of 76 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 73 per cent last weekend and 61 per cent this weekend last year.
There were 832 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 631 selling and 201 being passed in, 101 of those on a vendor bid.
The high clearance rate on this number of auctions indicates that the residential property market should remain strong for the remainder of the year.
Next weekend the REIV expects around 970 auctions.
