A clearance rate of 71 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 68 per cent last weekend and 66 per cent this weekend last year.
There were 1243 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 880 selling and 363 being passed in, 141 of those on a vendor bid.
There were about 11,800 residential sales in the month of October - up eight per cent from the same time last year.
