Melbourne Property Sales Results
for Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March 2015
A clearance rate of 78 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 70 per cent last weekend and 72 per cent this weekend last year.
There were 959 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 752 selling and 207 being passed in, 100 of those on a vendor bid.
There has been an increase in auction activity in properties priced up to $500,000 this year. In the year to date, about 17 per cent of all auction sales have taken place in this category compared to just 14 per cent for the same period last year. So far this year, there has been a total of 650 auctions in this segment of the market.
