A clearance rate of 82 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 79 per cent last weekend and 69 per cent this weekend last year. There were 232 auctions reported to the REIV, with 190 selling and 42 being passed in, 18 of those on a vendor bid. Auctions continue to gain popularity in the city’s outer suburbs with 25 per cent more homes selling under the hammer in 2017, compared to the same period last year.
