Melbourne Property Sales Results

for Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th August 2014

A clearance rate of 72 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 72 per cent last weekend and 74 per cent this weekend last year.

There were 611 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 442 selling and 169 being passed in, 77 of those on a vendor bid.

With a record number of auctions held in Victoria so far this year, it’s no surprise that there has also been a record value of homes transacted. So far this year, more than $10.8B worth of homes was sold at auction, which surpasses the $10B value achieved over the same period in 2010. It is also 38 per cent higher than this time last year.
