A clearance rate of 79 per cent was recorded this week compared to 82 per cent last week and 72 per cent this week last year. There were 618 auctions reported to the REIV, with 491 selling and 127 being passed in, 60 of those on a vendor bid. Vendors in four suburbs have almost been guaranteed success at auction this year, with clearance rates of 100 per cent recorded in Dingley Village (39 auctions), Tullamarine (21 auctions), East Geelong (16 auctions) and Carrum Downs (15 auctions).
