A clearance rate of 81 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 81 per cent last weekend and 73 per cent this weekend last year. There were 1063 auctions reported to the REIV, with 856 selling and 207 being passed in, 102 of those on a vendor bid. The summer auction market, from December to February, has delivered the highest number of auction sales on record with almost 5,600 homes sold under the hammer.
